Third book in the Abbington Pickets Series.
“Skip and I had the pleasure of an early reading of Corinne’s third book, “Letters from Jacob”. This book is a continuation of the story of Jacob Hudson and his wife Abigail from the books ‘Jacob of Abbington Pickets’ and ‘Jacob’s Place’.
Right from Chapter One the reader is drawn into the story of life in a small Saskatchewan town, during World War One. Jacob has gone away to fight for freedom and has left his wife to look after their home and business. The book takes you on a trip through the trials faced by a woman working nonstop in a difficult situation. Her faith is challenged many times and her strength comes from letters sent by Jacob and memories of his strong faith in God.
We sincerely enjoyed the characters and the plot that came to life while reading. We looked forward to the new events unfolding in each chapter. We recommend this as Christian reading for everyone in the family.”

“Ms. Hewitt weaves an authentic tale through the memoirs of her ancestors. Our eyes are opened to our own ancestors’ fortitude as they struggled via wit and wisdom through the war on the Canadian prairies over a century ago. Jacob and Abigail have captured our hearts yet once again!”
