This is where it all began. This place, this solitude, this nature’s walk. Life as this road knew it, hasn’t been the same in sixty years. But it is the history of this countryside that Jacob of Abbington Pickets was inspired. With the breathtaking prairie scenery, it’s no wonder folks wanted to live on this land. Green grass filled the pastures, while wheat stretched across a golden field. White barked, poplar trees and beautiful wild flowers, all paint a colourful palette. You can’t compete with a prairie sunset on a nice summer evening or the northern lights on a clear starry night. Although life on the prairies wasn’t always easy, it was their life, their livelihood, their duration. If I could go back in time, this would be the place I would go, this is the place I would love to be. This would be the place I would want to call my dwelling.
